The League of Polish Women was established in 1945 and from the very beginning it was a pro-governmental organization. That is why their members disseminated communist propaganda in Poland. The propaganda took numerous forms but one of the most popular was through newspaper and magazine articles. The magazine “Poznajmy Prawdę” (Learn the Truth) was being publishing from 1949 to 1952. It was addressed to social leaders, who were supposed to disseminate the communist agenda in Polish female environments. The aim was to persuade women to support the new political authorities.
